frankie clayFrankie Slaughter is a mixed media artist who works with a variety of materials including fabric, paper, encaustic and porcelain. Her previous focus was designing one-of-a-kind jackets, jewelry and accessories. Frankie’s art has been featured in numerous publications in addition to being included in private and corporate collections, and has been shown at boutiques, galleries, and juried venues throughout the country.

Named a Style Weekly’s 2015 Women in the Arts Honoree, Frankie has served as a juror and advisor for a number of community events including Wearable Inlight
at 1708 Gallery, VCU School of Fashion, and participated as a mentor and visiting instructor for various local high school groups. She is currently represented by glavé kocen gallery in Richmond,VA.
